Ellen Tucker

My name is Ellen Tucker and I am working for AIA at the University of Texas at Austin. I am stepping into this new role after a 19 year teaching job that also included coaching high school girls cross country and soccer. The combination of teaching and coaching allows me to step into this role excited to continue equipping and discipling athletes in the space that the intersection of faith and sport and life allows. 

 

I am a single mom of 4 sons that are one of the sweetest blessings in my life. They along with my family and my faith community have shaped me and molded me and loved me and drawn me closer to the Lord in the process. They did this by walking alongside me and filling in the gaps and by being used by the Lord to be just what I needed when He knew I needed it. This is what I long to do with the athletes at UT: love them and walk alongside them as they navigate life and sport and faith. And be the hands hand feet of Christ hopefully at just the right time that they need someone.
